Your Lead Teacher

The Hometown Sweat Hot Pilates Teacher Training will be led by studio owner, Maria McBride.

“I began teaching hot pilates in 2018, just a few months after having my third baby...

when i knew that i needed to find something to help rebuild my core. I had just had my third baby in less than four years, and i got a big wake up call when i realized i couldn’t hold a forearm plank for more than a few seconds. it was as if my brain and my abdominal muscles could not and would not communicate! being somone who loves sweating, the idea that we could do another modality in the hot room that would help enhance our yoga seemed like the perfect way to invite these core strengthening exercises into my life and into the hometown sweat community. i dove into the world of hot pilates, teaching and practicing as much as i could. i love how this class provides a well rounded, challenging workout while remaining low impact and beginner friendly. The low impact nature of hot pilates keeps the class accessible for folks at every level, and the core work supports and enhances what we practice in yoga. I’m beyond pumped to be offering hot pilates teacher training here at hometown sweat, and i’m thrilled for you to experience the hot pilates magic on a deeper level!”

A note about participating if you don’t think you want to teach…

If you love the practice of Hot Pilates but aren’t sure whether you want to teach, this Teacher Training is still for you. Learning something as if you were going to teach it will help you to deepen your own practice which will in turn help you when you show up on your mat in the hot room. Even if teaching isn’t in your future, we’re here to support you during Teacher Training!
